The AK5 is Tuft the World's newest electric cut-and-loop tufting machine, designed in collaboration with Karida Outdoors. It's built for tufters who want a premium, refined experience right from their first session.
Your AK5 should arrive with:
If anything is missing, especially the power adapter, email us at support@tufttheworld.com. Include your order number or the email address you ordered with, and tell us which items are missing. We'll ship the missing pieces to you.
Please don't substitute another power supply. The AK5 uses its own adapter. Adapters from other machines and generic 12V/24V power supplies won't work with it, so please wait for the correct AK5 adapter from us.
The AK5 is ideal for:
The main tradeoff is flexibility vs. refinement. The Duo comes in low, medium, and high pile variants and lets you adjust pile height. The AK5 tufts at a fixed 16 mm height. If you know you want a fluffy, high-pile shag rug, the medium or high-pile Duo is a better fit. If you want the quietest, smoothest machine and are happy with low-pile work, the AK5 wins.
See the full machine comparison guide for AK5 vs. Duo vs. AK-III.
The AK5 is available at tufttheworld.com for $250. It's also available as part of our Tufting Starter Kit, bundled with a frame and cloth.
