Two-Day Tufting Workshops

Double your pleasure, double your fun!

The two-day class is designed for folks with bigger projects in mind. You can tuft and cover your own cat tree or chair. Or you can use one of our larger frames to make a rug or wall art much bigger than in our regular frames.

In this hands-on instructional class, participants will learn to use power tufting machines to create a rug, wall hanging, chair or cat tree. The 10-hour class will cover the basics of setting up a tufting frame, stretching primary cloth and threading and operating tufting machines on the first day. Then you will have a second day to complete your tufting and work on finishing your rug. Instructions for how to cut, glue, and finish a tufted piece will also be provided. Some projects may be assembled at home but you will receive all the guidance you need to complete your project.

Frame, cloth, yarn, and project-specific supplies are included in the cost of the workshop (participants will take their work home following the class). Tuft the World will provide tufting machines for use during the workshop, or participants may bring their own.

Experience Level: Beginner to intermediate

* Should enrollment fall below the minimum number of participants, the workshop will be cancelled prior to the scheduled day. TTW staff will contact you about cancellations 24-48 hours before the scheduled workshop date.*

If you realize you can’t attend a workshop you’ve already paid for, we’re able to cancel your order and refund your purchase as long as your request is made more than 24 hours before the start of the workshop. Email support@tufttheworld.com for any questions.

Health & Safety: Masks are optional; Tuft the World is able to supply workshop attendees with a mask if needed.  Tuft the World will continue to evaluate the risk of hosting in-person events on a day-by-day basis. If we determine it wise to cancel, you will receive email notification and a full refund. At this time, the event will not require vaccination proof.
