Choose your own tufting adventure this year with classes offered every Saturday! This 5-hour class can be customized based on your experience and interests. You can even take a two-day workshop to create larger projects.

Here's how it works: You purchase either a one-day or two-day workshop and then select what you want to make. That way we can be sure to have the right materials for each student. 

One-day workshops

• Intro to tufting - if this is your fist time and you want to make a small rug
• Tuft a mirror - create a frame that will surround a mirror and hang on your wall
• Tuft a stool - tuft and upholster a wooden stool
• Tuft a pillow - create a tufted throw pillow

Two-day workshops

• Tuft and make a cat tree
• Tuft and cover a chair
• Create a large rug

All workshops include hands-on instruction in using power tufting machines to create a rug or wall hanging. Each class will cover the basics of setting up a tufting frame, stretching primary cloth, and threading and operating tufting machines. Instructions for how to cut, glue, and finish a tufted piece will also be provided. Frame, cloth, and yarn are included in the cost of the workshop as well as the materials needed for each specific project. (Only one project can be done in a single workshop.) Tuft the World will provide tufting machines for use during the workshop, or participants may bring their own.

Participants will work on their own design based on which project they choose.
