Who: William Way Community Center, a local organization which seeks to engage and support the diverse LGBTQIA+ communities in the greater Philadelphia area through arts & culture, empowerment, and community connections. 

What: Tuft the World will donate $75 from the sale of every Pride Box to William Way Community Center.

Who: The mission of Philadelphia's Sunday Love Project is to share food amongst the homeless, while simultaneously building community.

What: Tuft the World staff donated gently-used winter clothing, and took the morning off of regular tasks to prepare dozens of nutritious lunches and write letters.

Donations and Letter-Writing for Afghan Refugees

Tuft the World’s staff-led giving initiative supports a different local organization or cause every six weeks. Below are the details of a recent project.

When: October 2021  

Who: HIAS Pennsylvania supports low-income immigrants of all backgrounds as they build new lives in our community. Through immigration legal services and an array of social services, HIAS works to address their needs, defend their rights, and advocate for their equitable inclusion in American society.

What: In addition to monetary donations to HIAS, Tuft the World staff wrote letters to elected officials urging for legislation that would ease the U.S. immigration process for refugees from Afghanistan.

When: June, 2021

Who: First established in 1989 as the Gay and Lesbian AIDS Education Initiative, GALAEI has expanded its reach over the decades to provide wide-ranging services, support, and advocacy for Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities in Philadelphia. 

What: Tuft the World will donate $75 from the sale of every Pride Box to support GALAEI’s mission.
